Record ASSIST grants awarded

Members of the Loss Prevention and Safety Committee awarded a record $123,047 in grant funds when they participated in a December 8 conference call to review each of the 79 ASSIST Program applications that were received, which also was a record.
The all-time high was made possible thanks to the NIRMA Board of Directors voting earlier in the year to add an additional $50,000 to the funding level as 2016 marked the 10th time grant funds were going to be awarded.
With this 10th round to grants, NIRMA has now provided more than $930,000 in funds to help members improve safety and health for their employees and the general public.
