NIRMA is governed by an 11-member Board of Directors elected by the general membership. It is the responsibility of the Board of Directors to establish NIRMA policies, development strategic planning, and provide management oversight.
In order to be eligible to serve as member of the Board of Directors, the individual must be an elected or appointed official actively employed by a member public agency. Terms are for three years and the number of terms an individual may serve are unrestricted.
